Tuesday Champions League Predictions

 Hello everyone,

Welcome back to TheFootyHut blog where today I am going to be predicting the results in this evening's UEFA Champions League fixtures.

Club Brugge v Manchester City 17:45

Most may see this game as one way traffic in the way of Manchester City but I could see Club Brugge making it harder for their opponents than most expect due to Club Brugge having the home advantage. Club Brugge currently sit above City in their group with a one point advantage but this is all to play for tonight. I still predict Manchester City to win but I think it will be a tight margin of 3-1.

Besiktas v Sporting Lisbon 17:45

Both teams have had a tough start to their Champions League campaigns as neither team has picked up a point yet in their opening two games, due to this it is a very important game for both sides. Sporting have hit a good run of form in their domestic games of late winning four of their last five fixtures. Also Besiktas are doing well domestically having just lost one game at home this season. This leaves this match being tough to call so I predict a 2-2 draw.

Shakhtar Donetsk v Real Madrid 20:00

This looks to be an interesting and very important game in the Champions League as both teams need to pick up the points. Real Madrid currently have three points whereas Shakhtar only have one and are currently bottom of the group. Shakhtar have the home advantage and have lost just one of their last fourteen matches. Real Madrid are on a poor run of form having lost two of their last three games so Shakhtar will have the opportunity to strike. Due to this I am predicting an underdog win of 2-1 Shakhtar.

PSG v RB Leipzig 20:00
In my opinion I can only see this match going one way and that is PSG taking the three points. PSG currently sit top of the group with RB Leipzig last in the group. PSG having captured the signing of Lionel Messi in the summer look like they will be too hard to stop for Leipzig. PSG are also unbeaten at home this season which just adds to the argument. I predict a 3-0 PSG win.

Atletico Madrid v Liverpool 20:00

This looks to be the fixture of the evening as two European giants collide. Liverpool travel to Madrid sitting top of the group having won two games from two, although they will be aware this is going to be their toughest group game of the campaign. Atletico are currently unbeaten in their last twelve home games which proves how tough a task it will be for Liverpool trying to seek the three points. I think that both teams would settle for a draw and because of this I predict a 1-1 draw.

Inter v Sheriff 20:00

This fixture looks to be interesting one featuring Champions League newcomers Sheriff. They came into this campaign very unknown to most football fans around the world but with upsets against Real Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk they are very much holding their own. Although I can't see this happening for a third time against Inter as they will be well drilled having seen their other results. I predict a 2-0 Inter win.

Ajax v Dortmund 20:00

This game looks like its going to be an exciting one between two sides who currently have a 100% record in their games so far. Both teams are currently on six points so far and both will be looking to continue their unbeaten starts to the campaign. Dortmund have seven of their last eight games so they will start out as the form favourites. I predict a 3-2 Dortmund win.

Porto v AC Milan 20:00

Both teams will be going out searching to get their first win of the Champions League campaign. This game looks to be all to play for as both sides are currently on a mixed run of form. Porto have lost their last two home games in the Champions League and Milan are currently sitting bottom of the group having picked up zero points. Although Milan's away form sways me towards them picking up a result in Portugal. I predict a 2-1 Milan win.

This is my round-up of Tuesday nights UEFA Champions League fixtures, I hope you enjoy.
