Premier League Predictions Gameweek 9

 Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to TheFootyHut blog where today we are going to be doing a round up of the upcoming Premier League games as well as my predictions for each fixture.

Arsenal v Aston Villa Friday 20:00

The first matchup this week is between Arsenal and Aston Villa, this match looks to be an interesting affair. The Gunners come into this game with home advantage although their poor start to the season shows that this may not be much of an advantage. They have started the season with only 3 wins out of their opening 8 games which is poor from a club like Arsenal. Aston Villa have a good recent record against Arsenal winning the last 3 meetings between the two clubs because of this it looks like a great game. I predict a 2-2 draw.

Chelsea v Norwich City Saturday 12:30
The league leaders Chelsea play bottom of the table Norwich in the early kick off on Saturday. This match looks like it will be one way traffic in the way of the London side who have won 6 of their 8 Premier League games this season. Norwich have failed to score in their opening 5 away games this season which doesn't look like changing as they travel to the league leaders. Even with Chelsea's injuries in the forward areas I still predict a 3-0 Chelsea victory.

Crystal Palace v Newcastle Utd Saturday 15:00

This game looks to be all to play for between two sides who have had slow starts to the season. Newcastle currently sit in 19th without a win this season and only picking up 3 points so far. Crystal Palace have had a better start but still one which requires much improvement. They are currently 14th and have only picked up a single win this season. This game looks like it could include a lot of goals as these teams have played out four 2-2 draws this season between them. Due to this I predict a 2-2 draw.

Leeds v Wolves Saturday 15:00

Wolves will go into this game as favourites having picked up some form recently with 4 wins out of their last 5 games. Leeds have had a disappointing start to the season having only picked up one win so far this season and sitting 17th just 3 points outside of the relegation zone. Although the form says differently I can see Leeds starting a run of form starting this weekend because of this I predict a 2-1 Leeds win.

Southampton v Burnley Saturday 15:00

This looks to be an interesting fixture as both sides have started the season slow. Southampton won last time out to pick up their first win of the season whereas Burnley are currently in the relegation having failed to get a win yet this season. This game could be a good chance for Burnley to get their first win of the season although I still think Southampton will have enough to get the 3 points. I predict a 2-0 Southampton victory.

Everton vs Watford Saturday 15:00

The next game sees Watford travel to Merseyside to face Everton. Everton have had an impressive start to the season and currently sit 8th in the table. They have won 3 out of their 4 home games so far this season and will look to add another against Watford. Watford have had a difficult return to the Premier League having lost 5 out of their 8 matches and just coming off the back of a 5-0 loss to Liverpool. Due to all these factors I can see Everton winning comfortably, I predict a 3-0 Everton win.

Brighton v Manchester City Saturday 17:30

The late kick off on Saturday sees Manchester City travel to Brighton. Brighton have had a great start to the season against all the odds, they currently sit 4th in the table and have only lost one game this season. Although with the visit of the champions Manchester City they will look to add another loss to Brighton's season. This looks to be an exciting game as both sides are in great form so far this season but it is hard to predict against a side like Manchester City. I predict a 3-1 Manchester City win.

West Ham Utd v Tottenham Hotspur Sunday 14:00

The first game on Sunday sees the clash of two London clubs who have had similar starts to the season. Only one point separates the two sides in the Premier League and both sides will be looking to this fixture to add another 3 points. West Ham will be hoping Michail Antonio can continue his scoring form and add to his tally of 5 goals so far this season. Both clubs had European football during the week so this tie could all be decided on who gets tired legs first towards the end of the game. I predict a 2-2 draw.

Brentford v Leicester City Sunday 14:00

Leicester travel to Brentford currently sitting one point behind their opponents in the table. Brentford have shown their ability at home this season already picking up big results against Liverpool and Arsenal. Leicester will go into this game being well aware of Brentford's abilities and will be cautious having seen their home form this season. I can see this being a close encounter and I predict a 1-1 draw.

Manchester Utd v Liverpool Sunday 16:30

The last tie of the week is the best game of the weekend between two old rivals. The 16:30 kick off sees Liverpool travel to Old Trafford as the only unbeaten team left in the league. They will look to continue this but will be well aware of their previous record at Old Trafford. Mo Salah has scored in his last 9 appearances for Liverpool and will look to cause problems for United. The red devils come off an impressive comeback in the Champions League against Atalanta so this match looks all to play for. I predict a 2-1 Liverpool victory.

This is my match previews for this weekend's fixtures, I hope you have enjoyed reading. I will be back soon with more football news.

All the best,
