Premier League Predictions Gameweek 8
Hello Everyone,
Welcome back to TheFootyHub blog where today we will be discussing this weekend of Premier League fixtures and my predictions. This will be the first edition of this on our blog and we hope you like it. Each game will be broken into different sections below.
With the form Liverpool have been on to start of this season it is hard to go against them. Also the current form of Mo Salah it is tough to see anything but a Liverpool win in this game. Adding to this the new addition to Claudio Ranieri to the manager's position at Watford he may have not had the time to work with his new side. Due to all these factors I predict a 3-0 Liverpool win.
Southampton v Leeds United 15:00 Saturday
This fixture seems hard to call based on the poor start form from both sides in recent weeks but last week Leeds recorded their first win of the season against Watford. Although Leeds
could be missing key men like Patrick Bamford through injury and Raphinha through coming back late from international duty I still see them coming out on top. I predict a 2-1 Leeds United win.
Norwich City v Brighton 15:00 Saturday
Norwich have had a tough return to the Premier League this season with only picking up one point out of their first 7 games. Brighton on the other hand have had a great start to the season sitting in 6th place going into this fixture after drawing 0-0 with Arsenal last time out. Due to these differing starts to the season and Norwich having a lack of a scoring threat as they have only scored twice, I predict a 2-0 Brighton win.
Aston Villa v Wolves 15:00 Saturday
This is looking like a close fixture as both sides have had a similar start to the season. Aston Villa are beginning the game in 10th and Wolves start in 12th with only one point separating the two sides. As this is a Midlands derby anything could happen but due to Wolves recent form of 2 wins out of 2 it is hard to see them losing the game. I predict a 2-2 draw.
Leicester City v Manchester United 15:00 Saturday
In my opinion this is the tie of Saturday as two huge teams go head to head. Manchester United have had a very underwhelming start to the season after their exciting transfer window which seen the return of Cristiano Ronaldo and the addition of Jadon Sancho. They have struggled to pick up maximum points in their games and I could see this continuing in this fixture. Although Leicester's slow start to the season they are still a well drilled team under Brendan Rodgers and won't allow Manchester United to walk over them. I could see this being a great game and I predict a 2-2 draw.
Manchester City v Burnley 15:00 Saturday
Most people are only going to see this match going one way and that is a Manchester City win. Manchester City are the Premier League champions and have started this season in similar form. They are currently sitting 3rd and are unbeaten in their last five. Burnley on the other hand are in the relegation zone without a win in their last five so this game looks like one way traffic. I predict a 4-0 Manchester City win.
Brentford v Chelsea 17:30 Saturday
The late kick-off on Saturday sees an interesting tie with Premier League new boys Brentford taking on Chelsea. Brentford have took the Premier League by storm to start this season with a win against Arsenal and a draw with Liverpool both coming at home. Chelsea have also started the season strong currently sitting top of the league. This looks to be a mouth-watering affair with plenty of goals on the cards. Due to this I am predicting an upset of 2-2 draw.
Everton v West Ham 14:00 Sunday
The first game to kick off Sunday looks to be a great tie. Everton will go into the game as favourites as they are unbeaten at home and are currently in 5th place. West Ham are beginning the game in 9th place but they are only 3 points behind their opponents. I can see this fixture being a close tie but due to the recent form of Everton I can see them coming out on top. I predict a 2-1 Everton win.
Newcastle v Tottenham Hotspur 16:30 Sunday
This fixture looks like it could be one for the neutral as many goals can be expected. Tottenham started the season off slow but have slowly found their groove with 2 wins out of 2 in their last two outings. Newcastle have been in the news lately due to their monstrous takeover which could see the fans getting behind the home side which could make the match interested. Although I still think Tottenham will be too strong for the magpies due to this I predict a 3-1 Tottenham victory.
Arsenal v Crystal Palace 20:00 Monday
The last fixture of this game week sees Crystal Palace travel to the Emirates for an all London affair. Arsenal go into this game at home and will be hoping for a result against their neighbours but Palace will not make it easy for them. Arsenal have found a string of form recently picking up 3 wins in their last 4 games. Crystal Palace look to struggle in this matchup having only picked up one win this season but all is to play for due to this being a derby. I predict a 2-1 Arsenal win.
This is my round up of the upcoming fixtures in the Premier League, lets hope I am right. Goodbye for now.
